Clinical hypnotherapy can speed up the process of identifying core issues and resolving inner conflict inherent in psychological problems such as:
Body Dysmorphic Disorder
Phase of Life Disorder
Posttraumatic Stress Disorder
Just as there are many theoretical schools of thought, each with its own methodology for treatment of the same, or similar, psychological problems, hypnotherapy can be integrated into the treatment approaches of a variety of psychological problems. In a very relaxed state you are far more aware of creative options in your life. You may use a symbol, much as in a dream, to focus and fine tune a complicated relationship issue or dissolve resistance to realigning relationship perspectives.
Hypnosis can change the way we react as well as alter our emotions by actually changing brain patterns, as evidenced in the changes of fMRIs (functional MRI) of people with a history of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
Occasionally, in the course of therapy or counseling, it becomes clear that a problem may be rooted in the past. When this happens Hypnotic Regression may be used to explore the basis, and when appropriate, alter the circumstances in a manner, which supports you so you can experience more freedom in your behavioral reactions and choices. Usually the exploration alone results in a change in perspective, which clarifies values and gives rise to new opportunities.
Results vary, but I have had repeated success using hypnotherapy with people who experience anxieties and phobias: fear of flying, water, bridges, germs, crowds, etc. Research combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Hypnosis, Cognitive-Behavioral Hypnotherapy has occurred since the 1970s, validating positive results in the treatment of Anxiety Disorders and anxiety based illnesses as well as in the treatment of depression.
As a certified hypnotist who is also a licensed therapist and counselor I can help you work to unlock the inner resources which may remedy your issues. You deserve for your life to be happier and more fulfilling. Being in my third decade of therapy and hypnosis practice, I am dedicated to help you in reaching that goal. That would be very satisfying for both you and me.
